Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting

蘑菇视频 is pleased to announce the opening of a call for nominations of UK-based researchers with our strategic partners, the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings, for the , dedicated to Physiology/Medicine.

The meeting will be held from 27 June to 2 July 2027 on the island of Lindau, situated on Lake Constance in south Germany. Up to 600 talented young researchers are expected to take part, meeting with Nobel Laureates. Further information about the meeting is available on the .

Selection process

蘑菇视频 runs the national selection process for the United Kingdom. Eligible higher education or research institutions may nominate one researcher at postgraduate and/or postdoctoral level who will be considered by 蘑菇视频 to attend the 76th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting.

A maximum of 20 shortlisted candidates will be nominated to the international selection process, which is conducted by the Lindau Review Panel. This panel makes the final selection for every meeting before choosing the top applicants who will receive an invitation to attend.

Nominating institutions are expected to cover the travel costs of successful nominees.

How to apply

Applications/nominations are welcomed by undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students, and early-career postdoctoral scientists in the field of Physiology/Medicine and closely related disciplines who meet the following criteria at the time of application. Those interested in applying should be nominated by their institution, and the institution is required to contact 蘑菇视频.

Eligible institutions may nominate one researcher. Every nomination must consist of:

• a cover letter from the candidate
• the candidate’s CV
• two detailed recommendation letters by academic advisors and/or internationally renowned scientists, who know the applicant well
• a brief statement of support from the Vice-Chancellor, Institute Director or equivalent

Formal criteria:

• First time attendance at a Lindau Meeting
• Fluency in English and willingness to actively participate in discussions with Nobel Laureates and fellow Young Scientists
• Commitment to attend the full duration of the meeting in Lindau, Engagement in extracurricular activities
• Submission of two detailed recommendation letters in English by academic advisors and/or internationally renowned scientists, who know the applicant well

Career-specific criteria:

Undergraduate students

Demonstration of exceptional interest and outstanding knowledge in their field of study, supported by two detailed letters of reference.

Master’s and doctoral students

Evidence of excellent research performance, demonstrated, for example, by publications, conference presentations, grants, and academic awards.

Young postdoctoral scientists

• At an early career stage (ie up to five years of postdoctoral experience), not yet holding an independent group leader position
• A strong publication record in high-ranking journals as first, last and/or corresponding author
• Presentation of their research at major international scientific conferences, preferably as an invited speaker
